Nationwide ceremonies were held in March and April, celebrating the contributions of exemplary Canadians to education and community.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OTTAWA, ON, MARCH 30, 2025 – The National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) is proud to mark the completion of its Canada-wide tour to honour incredible Canadians with the King Charles III Coronation Medal. For the past month, NACC has been travelling from coast to coast, honouring over 280 individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities. These individuals were nominated by provincial career college associations to recognize their phenomenal contributions to the education sector, offering innovative, industry-driven programs that provide quality workers in high-demand fields.

The recipients, represented across every province in Canada, have helped fill critical labour shortages, supported learners in gaining new skills for in-demand careers, and played a role in shaping a stronger, more resilient workforce. Drawing attendance from provincial Ministers, educators and career college champions, NACC held ceremonies across the country in St. John’s, Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Vancouver to celebrate these individuals and honour their exceptional contributions to their respective communities.

The Coronation Medal program was created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and is awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities.

Remaining awards will be distributed in the coming weeks to those who were unable to attend a ceremony in their area. More information about the King Charles III Coronation Medal can be found here.
