The National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) is proud to announce a new partnership with Oxford International Digital Institute (OIDI), bringing NACC-approved English language programmes to regulated career colleges across Canada.
English language proficiency is one of the most important factors influencing student success. When learners can confidently engage in the classroom, they build stronger academic skills, improve retention, and are better prepared to enter the workforce with the communication skills employers expect.
Through this partnership, 150 career colleges across NACC’s member network will have access to a suite of NACC-approved English language solutions from Oxford International Digital Institute (OIDI), including:
- Online Pre-Sessional English (OPSE) – recently endorsed by NEAS
- Oxford ELLT – an award-winning, NEAS-endorsed English language proficiency test
- English for Care – a specialized programme that develops communication skills for healthcare and care settings
These programmes have been reviewed and approved by NACC and are designed to help institutions support diverse learners while expanding educational opportunities.
“Career colleges play a vital role in preparing learners for careers in sectors that are critical to Canada’s workforce. The more we can create strong pathways into education, the more opportunities we create for students to succeed and for employers to find the skilled talent they need. That’s why selecting partners that share this commitment, like OIDI, matters.”
— Michael Sangster, CEO, National Association of Career Colleges
Building on this commitment, the partnership recognizes that language proficiency is more than an academic requirement; it is a foundation for student confidence, classroom success, and long-term career readiness. By providing member colleges with access to flexible, high-quality English language solutions, NACC and OIDI are helping institutions better support diverse learners while strengthening pathways to meaningful employment.
Gary Palmer, Managing Director at Oxford International Digital Institute, added:
“We are delighted to be partnering with NACC to support their member career colleges and their students across Canada. Both organisations share a strong commitment to improving student outcomes and helping learners develop the skills they need to succeed both in their studies and future careers.”
