Session Description

Effectively Managing Classrooms that Include International and/or Indigenous Students

Abstract: Ask yourself, why do we so often misunderstand one another? Did your possible replies include: ‘They don’t understand what I mean’; ‘They don’t share my values/morals’; ‘They are not from my culture/religion’;

It is often true that we are different—not good or bad, or right or wrong—just different.

In this session, we will discuss how we may manage these differences and become more effective communicators in our classrooms.
