Trenna Frandsen is a dental instructor whose career is a testament to the power of experience and the joy of giving back. Trenna’s career began in 1998 when she graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant Level 2. For 25 years, she worked at a family practice, immersing herself in all facets of dental care. Her time there wasn’t just a job – it was a family. It was a community working together to provide exceptional care. When the dentist who operated the practice retired, Trenna saw an opportunity to change paths and embrace a new challenge—teaching. 

With a provincial instructor diploma in hand, Trenna transitioned into her role as an instructor at Discovery Community College. Her wealth of real-world experience has become an incredible asset to her students. Trenna believes that while academic knowledge lays the foundation for great service, real-life experience is crucial for truly understanding the nuances of her industry. In her teaching career, students benefit from a vast array of stories and insights, gaining a perspective that only years of practice can provide.
