In response to the Government of Ontario’s Speech from the Throne, George Hood, Chairman of NACC, issued the following statement: “I regard the PSW graduates from Ontario Private Career Colleges as health-care heroes, who are front-line workers, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our seniors in long-term care.”

“We applaud the Government of Ontario’s continued focus on the importance of training Personal Support Workers in Ontario,” said Michael Sangster, Chief Executive Officer of NACC. “Our Member Colleges have played an integral role in the training and graduating of Personal Support Workers during this difficult time. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Government of Ontario on this crucial task.”

NACC Member Colleges are proud of the role they have played in graduating over 5,700 Personal Support Workers since March of 2020. These graduates’ training involves a 700-hour program that includes 310 hours of practical, hands-on experience. Our Colleges continue to train and enroll new students every day and we look forward to continue graduating these crucial front-line workers.
