Join us on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 12 PM ET/9 AM PT/1 PM AT for the next NACC Instructor Jam Session. This event will gather leading experts in different fields to “jam” with private career college instructors about skills, trends, and developments in career training instruction. We will be welcoming Grace Lanceta as our special guest presenter this month.
Grace is the Director of CRD College of Health Care in Mississauga, Ontario and over the years has held various roles including Trauma Neurosurgery Nurse for 12 years. She also became a Research Coordinator in Nursing Policy for Patient Safety and Best Practice Guidelines with the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto for 8 years.
Ms. Lanceta is an internationally educated nursing professional and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in Manila, Philippines and later her Master of Science in Nursing degree in Phoenix, Arizona. Grace has contributed to research projects and policy makers in multi-site hospitals, long term care and home care facilities/agencies across Canada.
Some of Grace’s major achievements include:
- Research Presenter Brain Aneurysm Study, Nursing Research International Conference, Beijing, China, and Vancouver BC, 2008
- Awarded Best Novice Research Presenter in Breakfast of Champions, Toronto 2009
- Designed Multi-Micro Credential Safe Care Project Funded by Ministry of Education and Labor through Micro Challenge Fund
- Published several research projects including Nursing Best Practice Guidelines Assessing Delirium, Depression, and Dementia for Patients over 65
She brings 30 years of experience as a Nursing Instructor and Clinical Educator to our NACC Instructor Jam Session, which includes 10 years as a Personal Support Worker Instructor. We are excited to have her share her thoughts on the topic of “Instructor Burnout and Mental Health”.
At the end of our speaker’s presentation, all attendees will be put into brief Breakout Room Sessions to discuss topics of interest to you with other instructors across Canada.
