The National Association of Career Colleges’ 21st Annual Instructor Development Day will take place over 2 days on Friday, November 5 from 1-5 PM EST and Friday, November 19 from 1-5 PM EST. After rave reviews last year, we will be once again presenting the event online!

The NACC is pleased to present 6 guest speakers with varying backgrounds, yet each with a commitment to quality in education and student success.

This event is open to all Instructors, in all programs. If you cannot attend the live session on either day, not to worry. As in past years, the sessions will be recorded and made available online to view at your leisure.

The price to attend our 2021 Instructor Development Day is:

  • $100 per person for the Live Video Session
  • $250 per person for the Recorded Session
  • $200 per person for the Live Video Session for non-members
  • $300 per person for the Recorded Session for non-members

Our Member colleges teaching NACC curriculum are reminded that all instructors teaching the NACC curriculum must participate in the Instructor Development Day, whether live or by registering for the recorded video.

Location

These events will be entirely online, so the location is up to you. Find your favourite chair in your home or office and join us on November 5 and November 19, 2021, from 1-5 pm EST.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the cost per person cover both half day sessions?

Yes, purchasing one ticket to attend the live video sessions will grant you access to attend on November 5 and November 19. This is also the case when registering to receive the recorded sessions; purchasing one ticket will entitle you to receive recordings of both the November 5 and November 19 events.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a discount to those who only wish to (or are only able to) attend one session of IDD. 

Is there any bulk pricing available for my college?

No, unfortunately there are no bulk pricing offers. The ticket prices listed on the registration page are the only options available.

Are we able to register multiple instructors at once?

Yes. If you are registering multiple instructors from your college at once, you may register via e-mail. To do so, please send a list of the following information for each instructor you wish to register:

• Full Name of Instructor

• Instructor Email Address

• College Campus Name and Address

• Full Name of Individual Who Will Pay Invoice

• Email Address of Individual Who Will Pay Invoice

• Indicate whether Instructor will attend the Live Sessions or receive the Recorded Sessions

Why should I attend Instructor Development Day?

Instructor Development Day is in its 21st year of delivering timely, tailored, and applicable professional development to instructors teaching in various disciplines at career colleges.

This year’s theme of “Victory in Virtual Vocational Training” brings together six speakers to present on topics related to quality in education and student achievement, with a lens of how to successfully instruct in the virtual environment that many institutions are still experiencing during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

For all these reasons, you won’t want to miss Instructor Development Day!

Instructors who teach NACC curriculum are reminded that they must participate in Instructor Development Day, whether by attending live or by registering to receive the recorded video, per the terms of your College’s Agreement with NACC.

What if I cannot attend both days of the Instructor Development Day Live Session?

If you are unable to attend both Day 1 (November 5) and Day 2 (November 19) of the IDD live session, we encourage you to purchase the recordings to view at your leisure instead. Our IDD agenda is filled with so much high-impact and valuable content, you won’t want to miss a minute!

For Instructors who teach NACC curriculum, we remind you that you must attend both sessions or register to receive the IDD recordings, per the terms of your College’s Agreement with NACC.

When will I receive the Zoom webinar link?

After payment has been received, the Instructor named on the registration form will receive an e-mail with instructions to access the Day 1 session through Zoom. After registering through Zoom, the Instructor will receive a final email with the webinar link and dial-in information. This email will also include the option to add the webinar to your digital calendar (Outlook, Gmail, etc.).

For Day 2 of IDD, all registrants will receive an email on Monday, November 1, 2021 with instructions to access the second session through Zoom.

Please do not share these webinar details with anyone. They grant access specifically to the registrant and cannot be shared.

When can I access the IDD Recordings?

The IDD live sessions will be recorded and made available for purchase for those who cannot attend live. Recordings of the IDD sessions will be available for viewing in January 2022. If you want to receive them as soon as they are released, we encourage you to pre-order them using the form here

However, you can visit the NACC website at any time after January 2022 to purchase the recordings, using the order form linked above. An invoice will be sent to the e-mail address you provide, and access to the recordings will be sent via e-mail upon receipt of payment.
