First Fridays are an exclusive, Members-only opportunity to come together for an action-packed hour of education, networking and fun on the first Friday of every month.

In February 2022, our First Friday will include the following topics and activities:

• Newfoundland & Labrador Provincial Update featuring remarks from our special guest, The Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Education
• Presentation by Wavemakers
• Breakout Rooms for the chance to socialize with fellow NACC members
  

The Honourable Tom Osborne
Minister of Education
Government of Newfoundland and Labrador

Tom Osborne has represented the district of Waterford Valley in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly since 1996, and has held several Cabinet positions, including Minister of Environment, Minister of Labour, Minister of Health, and Minister of Justice. Mr. Osborne was appointed Speaker of the House and served in this role from 2015 to 2017. He was served in his current cabinet role of Minister of Education since August 2020.

Mr. Osborne has been involved in the business community for a number of years and has worked for Statistics Canada and the Penney Group of Companies.
