We’re pleased to announce that our 2024 NACC Annual General Meeting will take place virtually on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 12:00 PM EDT (9:00 AM PDT, 10:00 AM MST, 1:00 PM ADT).

At this year’s NACC Annual General Meeting, there is one (1) Member-at-Large Director to be elected by the active NACC membership. The individual elected will replace current director, Michael McAllister (Directeur General, Collège Herzing, Montréal). Michael has reached the maximum term limit, following a dedicated tenure as a Director-at-Large for two three-year terms, including time as Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary of the Board, and we are sincerely grateful for Michael’s service to NACC.

The NACC Board of Directors are comprised of dedicated professionals who bring the following skills and abilities to the board:

  • Financial / Risk Management
  • Business Development / Brand Management
  • Human Resources / Organizational Effectiveness
  • Advocacy / Government Relations
  • Communication / Public Awareness
  • Digital Transformation
  • Legal Experience

The Board has recently conducted a competency and skills review, and they have identified the preference for a new Director with financial / risk management experience or with legal experience.

As part of NACC’s commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Reconciliation, we are also excited to recruit new Directors who will bring their unique perspectives and lived experiences to the Board. We are particularly interested in receiving nominations from women and gender-diverse individuals as well as those who identify as Indigenous or from another equity-seeking group. We aim to bring more diversity to our Board of Directors in this upcoming election and welcome the opportunity to reflect Canada’s diverse population.

At this time, the Nominating Committee, chaired by Tony Reeder, is calling on members to express their interest in sitting on the national Board of Directors for NACC or would like to nominate a NACC member to sit on the national Board of Directors for NACC.

As per the By-Laws, in the coming weeks, the Board of Directors’ Nominating Committee will announce its candidate for the position.

Should you be interested or would like to nominate a NACC member for the Board of Directors please send an e-mail to Dan Delaney, at ddelaney@nacc.ca.

The NACC Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to reach out to the membership and seek interest is participation on one of NACC’s committees.
