Richard Ashley, CEO

Enrollment Management Innovations

A graduate of the University of Buffalo, Richard W. Ashley became involved with private career education in St. Catharine’s, Ontario, and has held executive positions in marketing, admissions and academic administration.

Over the past two decades, he has been the President and Executive VP of private for-profit and not-for-profit schools in Florida.  Mr. Ashley has written and published over 50 articles covering topics such as marketing, advertising, adult admissions and recruitment techniques.  His latest articles were published in the 2011 & 2012 editions of Career College Central and Career Education Review.

Mr. Ashley has done multiple presentations and breakout sessions at the Career College Associations both in the US and Canada.  He presently works on student enrollment management & marketing training at schools, colleges and career institutes in the US and Canada.

At NACC’s 2012 Conference, Mr. Ashley will present a session on ‘Motivating the Career College Student,’ which will focus on the needs of students and methods and techniques to motivate career college students.

During the breakout session, he will discuss ‘The Student Centered Enrollment Process,’ where he will walk through the initial contact, reception, interview, product knowledge, tour and application. He will also address the relationship between the financial aid department and the student.
