Canadian Education and Training Accreditation Commission
The Canadian Education and Training Accreditation Commission (CETAC) allows career colleges to demonstrate the high level of quality of their institution, programs and services.  Institutions must be registered with the appropriate Provincial/Territorial government agency that regulates private training.

Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials
The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (CICIC) is a national organization that deals with information collection and referral services in order to support the recognition of Canadian and International Educational and occupational qualifications.

International Educators Association of Canada
The International Educators Association of Canada (IEAC) serves practitioners in international education through networking, training, communication and research activities and provides leadership to enhance the quality of the profession in Canada.

Canadian Council on Learning
The Canadian Council on Learning (CCL) is an independent, non-profit corporation that promotes and supports research to improve all aspects of learning.  Funded HRSDC, CCL was created in 2004 following a series of nationwide consultations on innovation.

Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) is a vibrant community of university and college faculty, educational developers, administrators, 3M National Teaching Fellows, and students.  Founded in 1981, the bilingual STLHE is comprised of a diverse membership as well as two constituent groups and several special interest groups.  The Society sponsors an annual conference, an electronic bulletin board, a national teaching and learning awards program, and publishes a tri-annual newsletter, a membership directory, and the Green Guides.

Canadian Education Statistics Council
The Canadian Education Statistics Council (CESC), a partnership between the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) and Statistics Canada, provides valuable information and insight about education in Canada both to the Canadian public and to provincial and territorial governments, through programs such as the Pan-Canadian Education Indicators Program (PCEIP) and the Pan-Canadian Education Research Agenda (PCERA).

Association for Career and Technical Education
The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) is the largest national education association dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for careers.  This area offers information about the history, mission and structure of ACTE, as well as details on our annual awards program.

The Alliance of Sector Councils
Sector councils are industry-led partnership organizations that address skills development issues and implement solutions in key sectors of the economy.

Today’s global marketplace is changing at an unprecedented rate; dramatic shifts in the economy, large scale layoffs, recession, changing demographics and the pace of technological advancements combine to add pressure to an already competitive labour market.  It is essential that Canadians are prepared to meet these challenges with the skills, knowledge and confidence that are required to succeed in this new landscape.
