Career colleges go after international students

BARRIE - The National Association of Career Colleges has launched a new brand to attract more international students.

Using www.careercollegescanada.com, the NACC is helping students from abroad learn more about programs in Canada, as well as individual colleges.

It includes a comprehensive searchable database to enable students to find subject areas and locations.

"An education at a Canadian institution is highly valued internationally," said NACC's CEO Serge Buy.

"This new initiative puts career colleges on the same playing field as other institutions in Canada."

Established in 1896, the NACC is the oldest post-secondary association in Canada. It represents almost 500 career colleges.
