Career Colleges Praise Federal Government Actions
OTTAWA – December 22nd, 2011 – Yesterday, the federal government announced that as of January 1st, 2012, new and existing loans for part-time students will be interest-free during study. On average, this will save each student $350/year.
The National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) praises this new development and welcomes the good news for career college students, many of whom are enrolled in school part-time.
“This is a positive step forward for post-secondary education in Canada,” said Serge Buy, Executive Director of the National Association of Career Colleges. “It will create opportunities and ensure that more students gain the skills and education to participate in the workforce and be debt-free faster.”
