About NACC

Since the 1800’s career colleges have been an integral part of the Canadian educational landscape.

Who We Are:
The NACC is a national association representing over 400 career colleges from across the country through its 9 provincial members, and through numerous companies in the education sector.

We have an elected Board of Directors from across Canada which oversees the management of the organization and is responsible to its members.  NACC staff administer the day-to-day business of the NACC and report to the Board of Directors and the members.

History:
The NACC has a long, proud history of supporting the national interests of Canadian career colleges:

  • Established as an association of private business educators in 1896 as the “Business Educators Association”
  • Incorporated federally as a non-profit association in 1964
  • In 1991 the name was changed from the Association of Canadian Career Colleges to the National Association of Career Colleges, in keeping with its role as the national "umbrella" organization

NACC Purpose:
Our purpose is to encourage excellence in the private training sector and to promote the interests of our members and their students at the national level.

NACC Vision:
To be the recognized and respected voice of private training in post secondary education through leadership, integrity and standards
