Late December, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) published proposed regulations in the Canada Gazette that would impact how international students can come and study in Canada.
Some parts of the proposed regulation should be of concern to career colleges. We were pleased to see that in July, over 40 of you took the time to respond to CIC and raise concerns about their first proposal. While the government made some improvements on its first draft, career colleges are still genuinely concerned about the proposed regulation.
We provided comments on the proposed regulation. This comprehensive response is the foundation on which we will base our future arguments to advocate for changes in the proposed regulation.
