Welcome to NACC!
Since the 1800’s career colleges have been an integral part of the Canadian educational landscape.
Established in 1896, the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) continues to serve its members and support students of regulated career colleges. NACC acts as an umbrella organization for its affiliated provincial career college associations. All NACC members meet the highest regulatory standards, ensuring the best possible education for their students.
Students at regulated career colleges learn a wide range of skills that prepare them for exciting careers. NACC members offer educational programs in a number of industries that are vital to Canadians, such as:
- Health care
- Information Technology
- Child care and Personal Support
- And many more!
Regulated career colleges offer students flexible training options to fit their schedules and present a cost-effective approach to post-secondary education and training.
Due to the nature of the institutions, career colleges are able to adapt quickly and respond to changing job markets. This ensures that students are able to gain the education and practical work experience they need, leading to meaningful employment opportunities in Canada or abroad.
“Throughout the years, career colleges helped countless people from different backgrounds to achieve their objectives.” Jean Chrétien, November 1996 (on the occasion of NACC’s 100th anniversary).
Canadian Career Colleges play a vital role in training and preparing the workforce in this country. These colleges ensure that we have highly skilled individuals equipped to fill positions that are in high demand“. Liberal Party of Canada, February 2014.
